About us

13 Architect was founded at 13 Royal Crescent in January 2019 by Mohsen Najafian. 

Mohsen studied architecture at the Edinburgh College of Art graduating with a Bachelors of Architecture. Going onto attain a Masters of Architecture from the Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture.

This education has helped in attaining a wealth of practical experience. Including time in Copenhagen working with world renowed practice Dorte Mandrup Arkitekter. Working on several high profile competitions has afforded him a unique and progressive design ethos.

After attaining his masters, Mohsen joined ZM Architecture, where he spent five years in practice. This time at ZM offered a range of projects from complex residential—to the state of the art Tennent’s Story Visitor Centre in the world famous Wellpark Brewery on Duke Street. This diverse range of projects extended also to listed buildings, commercial, leisure, office and education sectors. Previous clients include Glasgow Clyde College, Dunns Food and Drink, New City Vision and Tennent Caledonian Breweries.
